THE MOST IMPORTANT KEY TO LAUNCHING A BUSINESS YOU LOVE – ESPECIALLY IF YOU’RE AN INTROVERT

You’re smart, talented, driven, and have amazing ideas. Yet somehow you haven’t gotten the nerve to start it…

Days, weeks, months, and even years go by and still…no business!

Frustrated and upset, you start to wonder if you’ll ever get out of your own way or if you’re doomed to sink into the abyss of regret.

Anyone can start a business. But see, you don’t just want to start any business – you want to start one you love! One that brings you joy, makes you feel alive and gives you a reason to wake up in the morning.

You want the thrill of being your own boss and organizing your own schedule. Excitement like a wide-eyed kid at Disneyland; a business that sets your soul on fire!

However, you instantly shrink when you surf the net and find hundreds of outgoing and charming online personalities that seem to have figured it out. People with six-figure launches, 20K-monthly incomes, millions of followers, and a buffet of services seemingly on autopilot.

Worry kicks in.

“Is that what I also need to do in order to achieve that kind of success? Do I need to conform to this big personality type to start my business? Is that what I want?”

To boot, you realize you’re lacking some of the ingredients to the secret sauce for success. You’re an introvert, exhaust easily, reject people-ing, and are not the super tech savvy type.

It can feel like you’re faced with an impossible task. Trust me – been there, writing a book on it! It's as though you’re about to climb an incredibly steep mountain and you’re almost certain that failure is inevitable (side note: failure is inevitable).

But honey, you do have the secret sauce! We all do.

It’s you. You’re the one ingredient nobody else has! Nobody can replicate, YOU. You’re uniquely qualified to tackle your biggest and most grand ideas to create a business you love.

Get it out of your head that you can’t or that you need something or someone else to make your dream happen. Not saying that community or having a great team isn’t a big part to becoming successful.

But even if you think you don’t possess a talented bone in your body, do you. You are creative, determined, good with numbers, good with people, inspiring and passionate about things you care deeply for. Once you go towards that good, authentic, and wholesome current within, you’ll be right where you need to be.

I was once where you stand at this very moment. The one question I kept asking myself was, “What’s wrong with me? I’m brilliant but I can’t seem to make headway.”

Unsure as to the answer, I went looking for clues. Things started to change when I realized that I needed a Master’s degree in, me. I truly wanted answers to help make sense of the ping-pong match of emotions and thought processes I was experiencing.

So, I Googled it! To my surprise, I stumbled upon just the thing I needed – a self-assessment test by 16Personalities. It wasn’t just a standardized 10-part survey that scratched the surface. It was just the comprehensive deep dive into how I operate that I was looking for. Even better, it was free! (FYI, my favorite 4-letter word)

Turns out, I’ve got the “THE ADVOCATE” (INFJ-T) personality type. While reading the results, I felt like someone was turning the pages in a book about me that I couldn’t have written any better.

It was the best 15 minutes I’ve ever spent.

The only thing required is a genuine, transparent and open heart. I love discovering things about myself. Especially, things that help explain what I already know but can’t find the words to explain.

This tiny thing I did for myself brought a sense of awareness and aha that prompted me to stop fighting who I am and to start accepting my flaws and fabulousness.

Better yet, to only build businesses that are wholeheartedly and unapologetically, me.

They key to launching a business you love starts with falling in love with yourself first – and to fall in love with you, you need to know the YOU, at this very moment.

Getting to know who you are isn’t a destination. It’s a lifelong journey. You can enhance your self-awareness in many ways – books, life coaching, courses, and people closest to you can be some of your most useful starting points.

  • If you could embrace who you are completely without apologies, what would that look like for you?

  • What traits, qualities, or skills do you love most about yourself? Are these the ones you apply most to your daily life, job, or in your business?

The more you’re in touch with who you are, the sooner you’ll stop accepting less and settling for mediocre.

I’d love to hear from you and so would so many women like you. Your story may be just what someone else needs right now.

And remember…

♡ Much, much love.
