If you’re a multi-passionate, you’re probably familiar with the nonstop tug-of-war going on in your head. You’ve got business ideas coming out of your eyeballs – it’s insane!
Every time you give thought to one of your ideas, you get so excited, your enthusiasm shoots through the roof. But after a while, your frenemies: fear and doubt appear, and you’re left sitting in a puddle of confusion once again. The ups and downs are extremely frustrating.
Why can’t I just get it together and choose ONE! Argggggggggg. What do I do to get myself out of this endless cycle of indecision?
For starters my love, take a breath… (and another…)
We’re freaking multi-passionate femmepreneurs! Of course, we get overwhelmed. Our functioning is scattered, ambitious, meticulous, chaotic, and beautiful all at the same time. And someone, somewhere will love us for it.
We want what we want but hesitate and grab it. The fear of not achieving hinders us from ‘the rise.’ The pleasure and magic we experience along the journey to becoming who we are truly meant to be.
How about we start with these 3 tokens of wisdom:
Choose ONE thing and make it amazing
Yes… just 1 thing [cringe].
Excelling at one business idea is all you need to gain the confidence in yourself to continue taking the next step, and the one after that, and after that.
Choose one idea you just can’t not do. Does it keep you up at night? Make your insides jump for joy? So good you want to tell your bestie, but still want to get it just right before you tell the world? Yeah, that one!
If you love it and can’t wait for others to love it too, then you’ve got a sense of direction.
This is your baby. You want your idea to flourish, to be nurtured and loved so it can grow into a strong, confident and sustainable dynamo. Scattered or misplaced focus is not going to help realize your dream in the time you’re hoping to bring it about.
Start. Just start
Take action – inspired or otherwise. One of my favorite quotes is,
“Clarity comes from engagement, not thought,” - Marie Forleo.
You can’t do nothing and expect things to magically fall into place. For sure, some work is required. And as lazy as we are, we do know that effort attracts. Even more so, focused effort is sexy AF.
In a day, we put our mind to so many things and smash the heck out of them. Why not establish a doable game-plan for your major break?
I mean, we all know the sting of FOMO… Yikes! Knowing you had a good thing, heck, a great thing on your hands and you put it on the back burner. Not to mention, now hundreds or even thousands or other people are toting a version of your idea around and are making a killing off it - it's gut-wrenching.
Get and stay inspired
Isn’t it wonderful when someone else puts into words what you’re feeling? On top of that, they’re really good at guiding you? 5, 10 or 50 minutes chiming in and you feel like you can do and accomplish anything. We all deserve to feel rejuvenated and ready to take action.
Fortunately for us, there is a wealth of free resources out there to provide that much needed jolt of inspiration when we need help getting back on our feet. Oprah Winfrey, Gabby Bernstein, Lisa Nichols, Tony Robbins, Michael Beckwith, Marie Forleo, and so many other great leaders. Hell, join a Facebook group of like-minded women.
Feeling good should always be a priority.
What are your takeaways from this advice?
Are you one of those people struggling to choose just 1 passion and stick to it? What struggles do you face? Did you bite the bullet and just did it?
I can’t wait to hear and see what you do with that fire inside you.
♡ Much, much love.
